| One Another Ministry Encourgement Story |
God Watches Over Us 12 years ago my wife, 2 boys, and myself moved to a new community. Little did we know what was in store for us in the next 12 years!! The first 2 years in our new environment anything that could, went wrong. The business we had purchased was failing badly, our son was heldup at gunpoint, our other son was rebelling, and we were getting scared and tired of fighting any of it. God was not part of our lives at this point although we had a good working knowledge of Him. 10 years ago we came back to the church and to God because of people who cared. They invited us to attend their church where we met Jesus again. We found Him to be as compassionate and loving as before. We had purchased a mobile home on native Indian land only to find out 2 years later the entire park was being evicted. At the time I had taken a job that included housing. This job seemed to just land in my lap but in hindsight we were being looked after during this eviction. By the way, our sons no longer lived at home so this didn't affect them. For the next 6 years different events came about that were of God. We made a couple of moves that involved my being responsible for a mentally challenged man that taught me patience and perseverance. Things I really needed to learn......ask my wife!! Then it was on to just relaxing and catching my breath in a different environment again. We moved again (3rd move in 3 months!!). This time we thought this was the last one for a long while as the apartment was big and bright and comfortable. Not so!! Once again God spoke. I was reading the real estate ads in the newspaper for something to do. An ad caught my eye and I told my wife about it. We investigated the possibility of purchasing the condo but decided it wasn't for us. The next week I looked at the ads again and another one jumped off the page. We looked into this one as well and within 48 hours were finalizing our deal for the condo. God was there again making the price right, conditions perfect for us to step into, location was great. We didn't have to ask Him if this was the one; we just went with it because God was saying "GO". Yes, we're still living in the condo and loving it. God has been good to us for 10 years now and we are thankful to our friends for helping find our way back. We know God was behind that contact. Each time an event has come along that we needed to do something about we have just had to listen. When God speaks to us now and says "GO" we do. No questions or arguments. Just do it. He has watched over us countless times and given us an exciting life together with Him. Sometimes we don't know what He is proposing but that is the wonderous part of His plan.
